The reason I picked up the EvoFox One S at first was simple — its price point and connectivity options. But once I actually explored and researched this gamepad, I discovered a lot more than I expected. This little beast packs a ton of features that make it one of the best budget gamepads you can buy right now.
Besides the standard features you’d expect — dual vibration, turbo mode, and pressure-sensitive triggers — the EvoFox One S supports all major platforms. That includes PlayStation (up to PS4, and PS5 when playing PS4 games), Windows, Android, iOS, and even Nintendo Switch.
What really surprised me, though, is that EvoFox managed to include Hall Effect joysticks (which they call Hallsense). This means no more random character movement when your joystick starts to wear out — a common issue with traditional analog sticks. So if your character suddenly starts walking north when you’re trying to go west, this controller won’t be the culprit.
The connectivity options are also impressive. The controller can work in wired mode via USB, wireless mode with the 2.4GHz dongle, or Bluetooth 5.0. So whether your battery is running low or you just want to move freely without cables, this controller has you covered.
Speaking of customization, it also offers two programmable macro buttons. You can map them to any action you like — for instance, if you want a dedicated button for Trevor’s rage in GTA, now you can have it with a single press.
Battery life is solid too, offering up to 10 hours of gameplay on a single charge.
I honestly couldn’t find a better controller at this price — even after looking through some pretty shady markets. If you’ve got around ₹1500 and are looking for a reliable, feature-packed gamepad, just go for it. The EvoFox One S punches way above its weight.
