So, here’s the story: my MacBook’s keyboard stopped working. And if you know anything about Apple repairs, you already know they can cost as much as buying another Windows laptop.
Naturally, I went for an external keyboard. But the mistake I made was not choosing the Logitech keyboard and mouse combo. Instead, I went for a slightly cheaper, lesser-known brand. That small discount is now haunting me every single day.
Let me tell you what went wrong with that keyboard and mouse combo.
The keys felt sticky and unresponsive — if you’ve ever typed on an old, worn-out keyboard, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.
It just kills your typing speed and rhythm.
Within just 30 days, the mouse scroll wheel began acting up.
Sometimes it scrolled on its own, sometimes it didn’t respond at all.
Pretty frustrating when you’re trying to get work done.
The keyboard’s plastic was so cheap and flimsy that one of the legs broke off while I was just typing.
That’s not wear and tear — that’s poor build quality.
The brand claimed 12 months of battery life for the keyboard and 9 months for the mouse.
In reality, both stopped working properly after just two months.
That means I ended up spending more on batteries than what I would’ve paid for the Logitech combo in the first place.
All I’m saying is — don’t make the same mistake I did.
Instead of buying some random keyboard and mouse combo that promises the world at a lower price, go for something trustworthy.
You’re going to use your keyboard and mouse every single day, so it’s worth investing in a reliable brand.
After trying multiple brands (let’s just say names like “Potatonics,” “Zeebranics,” “AProNot,” and “Raproo” — "Incorrect spelling a day keeps the lawyers away"),
I can confidently say this:
The Logitech keyboard and mouse combo is hands down the best you can get for around ₹1500.
