Nothing Phone 3: A Quirky Flagship Worth the Investment (If Your Budget Allows)

The only real gripe I have with the Nothing Phone 3 is its price. Otherwise? I absolutely loved the phone.
Sure, people critique its design as “wacky,” but trust me: after a few days, you get used to it—and I found it quite charming, even if that goes against the grain.

A True Flagship—but Not Quite in Performance

Nothing bills the Phone 3 as their “true flagship,” and while it’s in that ballpark, it does sit a notch below the heavyweights—Samsung, Google, and Apple.
That said, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 powers it, delivering solid mid-range flagship performance—even if it doesn't match the absolute top-tier processors.

Specs That Stand Out—And Some That Don’t

  • Display: 6.67" OLED (120 Hz, HDR10+, very high peak brightness) with Gorilla Glass 7i
  • Cameras: Triple 50 MP (wide, ultrawide, 3× telephoto) + 50 MP selfie
  • Battery: 5,500 mAh (India), 5,150 mAh (global) with 65 W wired + 15 W wireless charging
  • Software: Android 15 + Nothing OS 3.5 with clean UI, AI-powered features, and 7 years of security patches

Where It Shines—and Where It Stumbles

✅ What Works for Me

  • Clean, minimal Nothing OS 3.5 (much better than bloated UIs on competitors)
  • Unique telephoto camera at this price point
  • Fast charging + reliable battery life
  • Glyph Matrix design—playful, useful, and unlike anything else

❌ Drawbacks

  • Camera can be inconsistent, especially in low light
  • Performance is mid-tier compared to Samsung/Apple/Google
  • Glyph Matrix customization can feel tedious
  • Still expensive for what it offers

Why I Still Recommend It (Especially Over Cheaper Alternatives)

People often compare it to other options like the iQOO Neo 10 and OnePlus which may have a slightly better processor or bigger battery.
But here’s why I’d still pick the Nothing Phone 3:

  • 5 years of OS updates & 7 years of security patches (longer than most competitors)
  • Cleaner UI that actually makes using the phone enjoyable
  • Extra features like wireless charging, IP68 water resistance, and telephoto camera

TL;DR — My Final Take

  • If you want a phone you’ll enjoy using every day with a unique design and clean UI, and your budget allows ~₹80,000, go for the Nothing Phone 3.
  • If cameras and raw performance are your top priorities, Samsung, Google, and Apple are still ahead.
  • But for a refreshing, everyday experience, Nothing nailed it.
